You can take part in many activities throughout the year and we have special activities during school holidays.
Get close to the farm animals. IDuring the school holidays take part in feeding of the animals while you listen and learn about the animals.
The Danish Agricultural Museum is the statal and national museum of agriculture In Denmark, promoting rural culture and the downstream industries of agriculture as well as the cultural history of the meal. Furthermore our museum is the only statesubsidized historical museum based outside the Copenhagen area.
The museum engages in research of cabbage/root vegetables, cherries and onion/leeks. The most recent project deals with utility plants and the usage of herbs in Danish food culture.
The Danish Agricultural Museum has in cooperation with Food Organisation Denmark initiated the project: The Pantry of Region Østjylland, a two-year project funded by the food venture of Region Midtjylland , as part of “Green Growth” with contributions from the municipalities of eastern Jutland. The museum is also documenting “The Karoline Girls”, the former Danish international ambassadors of Danish dairy products, a project supported by the Danish Dairy corporation ARLA .

The carriage house at the museum car park is designed as LUNCHBOX ROOM. It is open from Easter until the autumn holidays.
During the summer there are tables and benches around the museum area. Here you are free to enjoy your picnic.
Throughout the year we also have an indoor LUNCHBOX ROOM if the weather is not for outdoor dining.

The Danish Agricultural Museum covers an area of 27.000 m2 including storehouses, exhibition areas and the administration. The Fields and the botanical gardens and the orchards cover an area of 100 hectares.
